Modern Day Soup Kitchen
The Classic Diner is teaming up with local nonprofit organization “The Vine Ministry” to provide fresh meals to the hungry and homeless citizens in our local community. In response to these challenging times, this new enterprise is committed to serving delicious meals to the vulnerable population who desperately need a helping hand at this challenging moment in history. With the catering industry struggling due the pandemic, owner’s Tom Farrell, Krissy Flynn and the team at The Classic Diner pivoted last summer to use their impressive commissary kitchen to serve charitable meals to the public. With an outpouring of support from loyal customers, they were able to keep the business afloat and make a big difference along the way. Starting this past February, these two organizations joined forces to create “The Modern Day Soup Kitchen” concept that has taken off to a robust and exciting start.
